What is your favorite part of being a member of the BPO?
Hearing the different textures of all the "other" instruments and being a part of the total fabric.
What is your favorite piece of music?
It is impossible for me to pick one favorite. I keep adding new favorites. I love the music of Mozart, Brahms, Ravel, Stravinsky, Bach and Prokofiev.
What other orchestras have you performed with?
Detroit Symphony; American Festival Orchestra; Grand Teton Festival Orchestra.
What types of music do you like to listen to?
Classical, of course; however, for relaxation I like to listen to the American Standards sung by the classic artists, i.e. Sinatra, Torme, and Nat King Cole.
Do you play any other instruments?
Yes, but not professionally.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Play bridge, garden, read.
What is your favorite movie?
I like old black and white movies. Favorite is Magnificent Obsession
What is your favorite TV show?
Men in Trees
What is your favorite restaurant?
There are so many good ones it is hard to pick a favorite. When I want to really dress up I like Salvatore's Italian Gardens.
What do you like best about Buffalo?
It's small but has many cultural institutions. A symphony orchestra and art museum primary for me.
