The BPO is a Leading Resource in Music Education.
From its very first downbeat in the fall of 1935, the Buffalo Philharmonic has been a major education resource for
Western New York. Now in its 70th season, the Philharmonic has performed well over 1,000 Youth Concerts in Kleinhans Music Hall for more than 1,500,000
students from local public and private schools. In the 2006-2007 season the BPO reached over 28,000 children. In addtion, the BPO has performed hundreds of student concerts
at high school and university auditoriums throughout Western New York.
