Program for PreK- to Grade 2: Musical Conflicts
How does an Orchestra resolve a musical conflict? Come join Maestro Franz in finding non-violent, productive ways of getting along. In alignment with NY State Education Standards, this 35 minute program will show how conflicts can be resolved in a peaceful manner while sharing our feelings along the way. Benjamin Britten's beloved Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra will provide the musical backdrop for our exploration.

Program for 3rd through 6th gardes: Musical Tour of America
Take a Musical Tour of the United States using the great music from the Grand Canyon Suite to The Moldau as your guide. Using vivid "sound-scapes" Maestro Franz will take you to these geographical locations and much more. As with all our education concerts, the curriculum materials are in alignment with NY State Standards. The program will conclude with a mind-mapping exercise to listen more actively to the first movement from Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, From the New World.

Program for Middle and High school students: Melting Pot of Music
Join Maestro Franz as we look back on the history of our region. We will explore the "Old Wave" and "New Wave" of immigrants into Western New York from the turn of the 20th century to modern times. Our Irish, German, Italian, Eastern European, and Latino Heritage will be celebrated through music in our concert titled Melting Pot of Music.
