Fauré - Requiem Saint-Saëns - Symphony No.3 "Organ" Ives - The Unanswered Question
Former BPO maestro Maximiano Valdes returns to the podium at Kleinhans in a lush, French melange of evocative styles. The program features two masterpieces from the Romantic Age, beginning with Fauré's revered Requiem, for orchestra, soloists and chorus, a work dearly revered for its sense of mystery. Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony offers the composer's rich, symphonic lyricism embellished by the thrilling timbres of a full-register organ.
