Biography

Suzanne M. Thomas, principal harpist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra since 1966, is a native of Allentown, PA. where she began her musical studies with Dorothy Krauss. She received a B.M. and Performer's Certificate from the Eastman School of Music where she was a student of Eileen Malone. Ms. Thomas continued her harp study at the Fontainebleau School in France, and, in 1973, was a prize winner in the International Harp Competition in Israel.Currently, she devotes her time to performing orchestral and chamber music, and promoting the harp through teaching and master classes.
