The music of Johannes Brahms takes center stage this weekend at Kleinhans Music Hall. The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra is performing the great Romantic composer’s Symphony No. 1. Overflowing with noble melodies, this symphony has sometimes been credited with winning over people who never thought they would like classical music. It is that expansive and beautiful.
Adding to the concert’s appeal, Israeli violinist Vadim Gluzman is coming to town to perform the Violin Concerto No. 1 of Max Bruch, another German Romantic master.
