The BPO hosts college student internships for fall, spring and summer semesters. Interns will learn how we market and sell the concerts, how education programs are developed, and how those large donations become a reality. During the summer, many students choose to join the BPO Street Team to assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies during our busy summer season. All BPO internships are on a volunteer basis and can also be completed for credit at your educational institution.
We enjoy working with interns and they enjoy being here! To learn more, watch this video that some of our interns decided to create describing their experiences with the BPO.
The BPO is looking for students in the Western New York area who are majoring in Marketing, Arts Management, Music Business or a related field. Applicants should be team players interested in nonprofit administration and learning best practices. This person should be outgoing and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with adequate knowledge of web and social media. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel experience is a bonus. Appreciation for the arts and classical music is a plus; as well as having a car, but neither is required.
