President & Executive Director
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, through the Chair, the President & Executive Director (“ED”) directs, plans, and evaluates all major activities of the BPO. The ED works closely with the Music Director (“MD”), the Vice President of Artistic and Orchestra Operations, and the Artistic Advisory Committee to ensure that the highest quality music is presented with a diverse range of programs relevant to the Orchestra’s constituents and to contemporary life. The ED works collaboratively with all internal stakeholders to ensure the future health and growth of the Orchestra. The ED is the key external representative and spokesperson of the organization to many of the major individual donors, the business community, philanthropic and community partners, media and to the government. Overall, the ED plays a critical role in elevating and sustaining the life-changing impact of the BPO.
Development Operations and Prospect Research Coordinator
We are seeking a Development Operations and Prospect Research Coordinator to oversee the health and integrity of the donor database through timely data entry, gift processing, reporting, and ongoing database maintenance that supports key fundraising efforts. This role manages all developmental data entry, prepares bank deposits, and reconciles gifts daily with the Finance Department. The coordinator also tracks philanthropic activity, produces monthly financial reports, and conducts proactive prospect research to identify major gift and foundation funding opportunities.
Operations Coordinator
As part of the operations team, this role serves as a key support for both the orchestra operations and personnel. The person in this position ensures that all logistics, both production and personnel, are clearly communicated to all appropriate parties. This position ensures the overall effectiveness and performance of the orchestra.

Violin I
Auditions to be held in Buffalo, NY – June 2, 3, & 4, 2026
Employment to begin September 2026.
2026/27 Contract:
- 20 weeks @ $1644.20 minimum per week
- 20 weeks @ $1659.10 minimum per week
