Beethoven’s Emperor

Fabio Bidini, a favorite of BPO audiences, returns to perform Beethoven’s heroic “Emperor” Concerto, the composer’s last and largest with majestic keyboard flourishes and sumptuous orchestral expansion. Folk sounds of Eastern Europe round out the program with Enesco’s ebullient and lively Rumanian Rhapsody No. 1 and Kodály’s Symphony in C, which will be recorded as part of a Kodály project for NAXOS.
