CANCELED: Beethoven’s Pastoral

New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday, March 12 that all gatherings of more than 500 people will be prohibited. As such, all events at Kleinhans Music Hall are postponed until further notice.
The kickoff to BPO Beethovenfest welcomes pianist Norman Krieger back to play Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. The performance also features the dramatic Overture No. 3 to his only opera Leonore, and concludes with one of his best-loved works, his description of a day in the country, Symphony No. 6, the “Pastoral.” JoAnn Falletta conducts.
Come at 9:30 AM on Friday for complimentary coffee and doughnuts. Come at 7 PM on Saturday to hear directly from the artists in “Musically Speaking,” hosted by JoAnn Falletta.
