Caroline Gilbert: A Musician’s Perspective on the Season

Free

BPOvations at the Libraries

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, in cooperation with the Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries, presents free talks given by BPO musicians that offer an intimate look inside the BPO while providing a basis of knowledge about the orchestral world.

Join Principal Violist Caroline Gilbert for a look into the upcoming season from her perspective. Which pieces will she most look forward to and why? How will she prepare for over 100 concerts this year and which ones will be the biggest challenges? How does she keep a standard piece of repertoire fresh and what is it like to perform a piece that she has never even heard before? Find out what Caroline thinks and ask your own questions too!
