This explosive program begins with the well-known William Tell Overture, the heroic finale of which is known to many from its features in sporting events, film and television, including the theme to The Lone Ranger. Pavel Sporcl brings his famed blue violin to Buffalo to play of the most popular and widely played concertos in history, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto. Finally, Tchaikovsky’s supercharged Fourth Symphony packs power and punch, rounding out a brilliantly energetic program.
