Danny Elfman’s Violin Concerto

A world of mystery and enchantment await as nimble violinist Sandy Cameron takes on the Violin Concerto of famed film composer Danny Elfman, known for his brilliant scores to Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Batman (1989). This thrilling performance rounds out with two storied works of Richard Strauss, Death and Transfiguration and the seductive “Dance of the Seven Veils” from Salome. JoAnn Falletta conducts.
Come at 9:30 AM on Friday for complimentary coffee and doughnuts. On Saturday, come at 7 PM to hear directly from the artists in “Musically Speaking,” hosted by JoAnn Falletta.
The Salvatores Symphony Shuttle, D’Youville and BPO Clement House shuttles will NOT be running Saturday evening.
Parking will be available in the Kleinhans Music Hall lot for $5 on Friday morning and $8 on Saturday evening.
