🎻 Before You Arrive: Know Before You Go

We want everyone to have the best experience possible! If you are looking for details such as what to wear, or what to expect at a concert, please visit our First Timers Guide.

Arrival & Entry

  • Doors open 90 minutes before concerts, with earlier admission available for dinner reservations at Marcato and special activities.
  • Late arrivals will be seated during the first suitable break or at intermission.

Accessibility

  • Mobility aids are accommodated, with wheelchair-accessible locations and companion seating available.
  • Hearing assistance devices noise reduction headphones, and large print programs are available at coat check.
  • Service animals welcome; please inform our staff upon arrival.
  • PLEASE NOTE: There is no elevator to the balcony level.

Parking

  • On-site parking (CASHLESS) $5 at Coffee concerts, $10 all other performances; fill quickly; early arrival is recommended.
  • Complimentary parking and shuttle available from D’Youville University on most Saturday evenings.

Concert Etiquette

  • Approximate duration: 2 hours with intermission.
  • Recording, photographing, or filming during performance is strictly prohibited.
  • No refunds or exchanges on single ticket purchases.

Pre-Concert Activities

  • Community Spotlight entertainment and Musically Speaking talks are presented at many concerts.
  • Visit Kleinhans CASHLESS Concessions for beverage options, including souvenir cups that may be brought into the performance.

Safety & Comfort

  • No backpacks or large handbags; Security screening at entrance.
  • EMT and security personnel on-site.
  • Smoking and firearms are prohibited at Kleinhans Music Hall.

All transactions at Kleinhans Music Hall – including concessions, gift shop, and parking – will be cashless. We appreciate your support in helping us streamline your concert experience.

Musically Speaking

Join Music Director JoAnn Falletta, guest artists, and members of the BPO one hour before most Classics performances for this free, informative, and entertaining series of discussions. They’ll discuss the music in the upcoming performance and take questions from the audience. It’s the perfect time to learn more about what’s behind the music you are about to hear. Musician’s Nightcap

An engaging, intimate look at the world behind the music in an informal post-concert gathering with complimentary wine and bites. BPO double bassist Jonathan Borden will host discussions with fellow orchestra members and patrons for an inside opportunity to hear stories, ask questions, and learn about the life of professional orchestra musicians.
