Crescendo Campaign
Crescendo Campaign
The BPO recently concluded the Crescendo Campaign, a fundraising initiative that will bring the orchestra’s endowment past the $50 million mark and preserve our orchestra for generations to come. Thank you to our outstanding community, which has helped us raise over $35.5 million to date! Your support of the Crescendo Campaign has strengthened Buffalo’s musical movement and helped transform the BPO into a world-class institution right here in Western New York.
For more information about the Crescendo Campaign, please contact Eli Campbell, Annual Fund and Grants Manager at 242-7825 or ecampbell@bpo.org.
Next Generation Education Fund
Education continues to be central to the orchestra’s mission, made possible through generous annual donations and significant investment from the BPO. This season, we will serve a record 50,000 students and children, including all Buffalo Public School students from grades K-6.
All too often, despite the innumerable research demonstrating the positive lifelong benefits of music education, arts education and field trip funds are the first to be cut from school budgets. The BPO invests almost $1.2 million annually in its education programs, with income from tickets and grants covering only half the expenses. The Crescendo Campaign designates $10 million to the Next Generation Education Fund. These newly endowed funds will support key growth strategies for our education programs and allow us to expand our reach throughout the region.
The $1,000,000 Challenge
The Tower Family Fund jump-started the Next Generation Education Fund through a $1 million dollar-for-dollar match challenge, providing great momentum to reach our overall goal of $10 million.
