Middle & High School
Providing opportunities for young musicians.
The BPO is proud to present educational programming accessible to all students through live concerts, in-school programs, and digital resources. Each year we work to ensure that our programs introduce students to the best orchestral repertoire, focus on music learning concepts being taught in the school classroom, encourage active participation through interactive program elements, and provide an engaging and memorable experience.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Kleinhans Music Hall. The safety of our musicians, staff, volunteers and community is our #1 priority, and we will continue to follow all local, state and federal COVID-19 guidelines.
In order to further protect the health, safety and enjoyment of all, we will be implementing a COVID-19 vaccination requirement and a masking policy for all staff, volunteers, performers and audiences at Kleinhans Music Hall.
At this time, all children under the age of 12 will be required to show proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the concert start time. Children 12 and up may provide either proof of a negative COVID-19 test or proof of full vaccination.
These protocols will go into effect beginning September 11 through October 30, 2021 and may be extended if community transmission levels of COVID-19 remain high.
The BPO presents free youth concert content for educational users. Explore video resources with accompanying lessons under thematic units like Musical Stories, World Dances, American Voices, Art & Music and Celebrating WNY.
BPO musicians present instrument demos for our local students who are choosing an instrument, as well as practice videos and tutorials.
Members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus present vocal fundamentals, as well as practice videos and tutorials for our local students who are learning to sing.
