Contributing to the pipeline of diverse talent.
The BPO is proud to present educational programming accessible to all students through live concerts, in-school programs, and digital resources. Each year we work to ensure that our programs introduce students to the best orchestral repertoire, encourage active participation through interactive program elements, and provide an engaging and memorable experience.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Kleinhans Music Hall. The safety of our musicians, staff, volunteers and community is our #1 priority, and we will continue to follow all local, state and federal COVID-19 guidelines.
In order to further protect the health, safety and enjoyment of all, we will be implementing a COVID-19 vaccination requirement and a masking policy for all staff, volunteers, performers and audiences at Kleinhans Music Hall.
At this time, all children under the age of 12 will be required to show proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the concert start time. Children 12 and up may provide either proof of a negative COVID-19 test or proof of full vaccination.
These protocols will go into effect beginning September 11 through October 30, 2021 and may be extended if community transmission levels of COVID-19 remain high.

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra hosts incredible guest artists each year. Now we are making many of these masters available to the community in an intimate learning experience. Select artists work one-on-one with local students in front of a live audience.
One hour prior to each weekend Classics concert, join a guest speaker in the Main Hall for a discussion of the performance.
The BPO hosts student internships for fall, spring and summer semesters.
Each year, the BPO offers budding composers the opportunity to work with professional composers, conductors and musicians through residencies, professional development workshops and new music readings.
