Second Violin
Chloe Yu Gong joined the BPO’s second violin section in the summer of 2024. She has participated in many competitions internationally, earning Second Prize in the Bucharest International Violin Competition, Third Prize in the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition in Italy, and First Prize in the Diablo Symphony’s concerto competition.
As a soloist, she has performed with the Qingdao Symphony, Shanghai Student Orchestra, and the Diablo Symphony, all to high praise from conductors and audiences alike. She attended The Juilliard School as a Master of Music student and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for a degree with a Concertmaster specialization, having received full scholarships from both schools.
Before joining the BPO, Chloe served as the assistant principal second violinist at the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra.
