Clement Luu joined the Buffalo Philharmonic in 2018 as a member of the first violin section and was appointed as the 2nd Assistant Concertmaster in the subsequent year. Luu has also held positions in regional orchestras including the section violin of Canton Symphony Orchestra and Hartford Symphony Orchestra, and assistant concertmaster of Akron Symphony Orchestra.
A native of Hong Kong, Luu completed his Bachelor’s degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music and received a Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music studying with the renowned violinist and pedagogue Jaime Laredo and professor Syoko Aki. His other principal teachers include Dennis Kim and Ivan Chan.
