First Violin
Violinist Jingyi Rebecca Hou has established a versatile career as an orchestral musician and educator, performing with distinguished ensembles including the Minnesota Orchestra, New World Symphony, Alabama Symphony Orchestra, and Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. Her performances have brought her to some of the world’s renowned stages, including Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. Hou made her concerto debut with the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra in 2013. She holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Violin Performance from Mannes School of Music at The New School in New York, where she studied with acclaimed violinist and pedagogue Lewis Kaplan. A committed educator, Hou has guided students to successful admissions at The Juilliard School, Oberlin Conservatory, New England Conservatory, and San Francisco Conservatory of Music, with students receiving significant merit scholarships.
